As more and more flash memory cards are getting cheaper, and hence these days we tend to see some cool products like these DIY SSD Drive kits. The unique thing about these kits is that they can allow users to upgrade their SSD storage capacity, which is unlike buying a traditional SSD where it contains factory soldered flash memory chips in it.
Here is such cool product, which fits in any PC, and allows you to build your own custom SSD drive. It has the same form factor of any PC based hard-disk.

Here is another such product which is in a form factor of slim laptop harddisk with high-speed SATA ports. This makes it easy to swap with your traditional laptop harddisk based storage with such cheaper and yet modular SSD based storage built with multiple SD cards.

It is also a green gadget, since it allows you to make use of those old out-dated camcorder, and other mobile device SD/microSD memory cards put in other alternative use without ever need to discard them upon after memory upgrades in those devices. How cool is that.
